A classic Northeast woodland ground-cover, heart-leaf foamflower is a semi-evergreen spring-blooming plant that does very well in part to full shade. Though generally reaching a height of about 1', foamflower spreads by rhizomes, ultimately reaching about 2' in width. When installed in a planter or window box, this plant often sends out long, cascading stems of its elegant heart-shaped leaves.

As a semi-evergreen species, foamflower will retain some of its leaves and color in the winter months. In early spring, this plant produces racemes of small white flowers that, when growing en masse, resemble a light delicate white mist hovering above the leaves. These flowers also attract many pollinators.

Very low maintenance, foamflower can live in various sun exposures and requires an average amount of watering.
